The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:
  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics name, role within school or education setting, place of work and email address.
  • Remittance emails with school address and amount received
  • Once ktconsent.co.uk launches we will use PayPal to take payments online for resources. No card or payment information is stored by us. PayPal solely informs us a payment has been made.
  • The website monitors when staff download the resources and from which IP address.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
  • To ensure we can monitor which schools are downloading the resources and that the resources are not shared between other settings.
  • To ensure we have contact details of customers to provide information on website and resource updates.
  • When new resources are added to the KT consent package we will contact each customer to provide them with the new information.
We also receive personal information from sales on our website which haven’t been personally communicated via email.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:
  • Promote new resources as part of the package schools or settings have already purchased
  • To promote training sessions where applicable to support the delivery of RSHE related topics.
We will not share the information provided with other agencies.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is: Contract
KT Consent processes your data in order to perform our contract with you, to enter into a contract with you and action your requests and, where appropriate, our legitimate interests.

(Website info) How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored on cloud servers within the EU, presently the Republic of Ireland. These servers are managed by our Data Processor, Verndale Systems Ltd, which is registered as a Data Processor with the Information Commissioners Office, reference number ZA503398.

We keep financial transaction information for seven years after your final purchase. Personal and non-financial data is deleted two years after your contract with us expires. We will then dispose your information by irreversibly deleting your data from our cloud servers.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
